On 29 July, more than 120 VWSA and Audi SA employees and their loved ones joined hands in volunteering at the Edutak Pre-School Training and Development centre in Pretoria. Edutak staff and practitioners also joined the group, and together we managed to make a tangible difference. Edutak is a SETA-accredited non-profit organisation that aims to provide quality early childhood education and entrepreneurial skills to people, especially children in various disadvantaged communities in Mpumalanga, Gauteng, Limpopo and more.
This is one of many similar sentiments expressed by attendees on the day. The spirit of togetherness was evident, as 17,748 meals were packed thanks to Rise Against Hunger. Furthermore, R100,000 worth of educational toys were packed, new shelves and flooring installed, and the external facilities were revamped with beautifully painted murals.
